Today, I am going to talk about the pros and cons of being modest, because sometimes we think that we're sacrificing a lot, but there are a lot of pros too. :)
The pros:
Well, the first upside to being modest, is you're following a commandment. In 1 Timothy 2:9 it says "Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly..." So, first of all, you're following God's commandment, and that's a pretty good reason.
Another reason is, boys won't lust over you. I know that seems like a con, but honestly, if boys lust over you, it gets really old, really fast, and it's a bit creepy too.
Another pro is,You're keeping your body pure for when you get married, :)
Cons:
It's hard to find clothes sometimes.
You can't always wear what's most fashionable.
There are lots more pros than cons. I know today's post wasn't really teaching anything, but sometimes we get discouraged, and start thinking that it might be easier to be immodest, but honestly, it's much better than being immodest.
